19^th International European Light Microscopy Initiative meeting (ELMI 2019) saw a large participation of the Finnish delegates. Helsinki BioImaging was represented by Kimmo Tanhuanpää, Mika Molin, and Jussi Kenkkilä, Turku BioImaging by Markku Saari and Gleb Grebnev, and Oulu BioImaging by Veli-Pekka Ronkainen. Elnaz Fazeli and Jaroslav Icha from the University of Turku were also attending the conference. Markku Saari represented the city of Turku as the city candidate for ELMI 2021 meeting location. Gleb and Markku have also attended Euro-BioImaging satellite meeting representing the Finnish Euro-BioImaging Node with Gleb providing an overview of the Finnish Advanced Light Microscopy Node and its imaging capabilities. Elnaz and Gleb also had a poster presentation each describing their respective research or the Finnish Euro-BioImaging Node.
