Can I be considered as a candidate for BioImaging masters’ programme?

Biomedical-Sciences-kuvitus-4_hires_muoks2Candidates should have sufficient background knowledge in biological and/or natural sciences, and completed a lower university degree equivalent to a Finnish B.Sc. degree (180 ECTS) in the Life Sciences or in a relevant field (biomedical sciences, physics, engineering, chemistry, medicine..). The applicants should also be familiar with the basics of laboratory practice. Both Finnish and foreign students can apply for the programme. Sufficient knowledge in English language has to be is also proven by a language test (TOEFL, IELTS or similar).

 

When can I apply to the Master’s programme in Biomedical Imaging?

The application round starts in the beginning of December and lasts to the end of January. Remember to take your language test well in advance!

 

What are the admission requirements?

A certified copy of the degree certificate in the original language, official translations of the degree certificates or a Diploma Supplement, a transcript of records with translation and explanation of contents and a proof of proficiency in English according to instructions. Information about language requirements can be found in the University of Turku language requirements page and the Åbo Akademi language requirements page.

When does the academic year start?

Officially, the academid year of the University of Turku and Åbo Akademi University start at the 1st of August. Teaching normally starts on the first or second week of September.
